Become a Vendor at the Townshend Pumpkin Festival!

This is the 35th Annual Pumpkin Festival, and each year the attendance has grown. The event is held toward the end of foliage season, when there are many tourists in this area.

Town of Townshend Common Use Policy
Location – “On the Common” Route 30, Townshend, Vermont
Sponsor – West River Education District’s Townshend Pumpkin Festival PBL
Space Size – Each space is approximately 12′ x 12′. We will try to keep similar products separate from each other. Exhibitors must bring their own tables, tents, etc. Space size is marked, additional space requires additional payment. If you wish to demonstrate your craft, you are welcome to do so. Each exhibitor is responsible for their own Vermont Sales Tax payment to the State of Vermont. Electricity is not available. WiFi will be provided.
WE OPERATE RAIN OR SHINE. Show hours – 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
Set up – begins at 7:00 a.m. All vendors must move their vehicles to the school parking lot after set-up, which is across the street (Route 35).
Please leave the closer parking for customers.
Payment – The first 65 applications with payment received on or before October 3rd postmark are guaranteed a space at a non-refundable cost of $40 for non food vendors and $60 for food vendors*. All applications postmarked after Oct. 3rd please send $50 (food vendors $70) which will be accepted if space is available. Make checks payable to West River Education District (WRED) and put “Pumpkin Festival” in the notes field. Mail the check and Application to 1219 Vt Rt 30, Townshend, Vermont, 05353.
* Food vendors include prepared food e.g. Burgers, Fried Dough, Chili, Soups, Stews etc. If you are not sure whether you are a food vendor please call Kevin Burke (802-221-2169). All food vendors must provide an insurance binder ($1,000,000) in advance of the event. No alcoholic foods or beverages allowed.
Advertising – we will do multiple press releases in newspapers and shopper type media, plus some paid ads. It is on our Brochure and Website as well. “The Townshend Common” being on Route 30, has the advantage of a great location with heavy traffic on the main route between Brattleboro and Manchester, VT.
No Dogs – We will be doing whatever we can to discourage visitors from bringing dogs into the Festival. Please help. Do not bring your dog.
